Founder of Vegans, Baby; a long-time animal rights activist and travel expert.
What led you to start working in digital/media publishing?
I wanted an outlet to write and share my stories without gatekeepers.
What does a typical day look like for you?
I am a writer, so most days I am working on growing my media publishing site, www.vegansbaby.com, which is geared to promoting vegan life in Las Vegas and beyond, as well as maintaining two other sites I run — a travel blog and a personal blog. Most days, I work on Vegans, Baby – updating and creating content on my site, as well as promoting via social media. I also freelance for local magazines and websites and consult with businesses on social media and copy writing.
What’s your work setup like?
I don’t use any productivity tools! I probably should. I use gramkey for improving my Instagram engagement, grum.co to upload client posts to Instagram, TweetDeck, and ViralTag.
What do you do or go to get inspired?
It really depends. Often times, I get inspiration randomly, while engaging in something else. I also tend to write a lot in my head at night, once I’m in bed.
What’s your favorite piece of writing or quote?
I don’t have one.
What is the passionate problem you are tackling at the moment?
Monetization! I’m pursuing many avenues for monetization including a partnership program, an exclusive Vegans, Baby brand, ebooks and a memoir.
Is there a product, solution, or tool that you think is a good match for your digital publishing efforts?
I am using Scrivener for creating and uploading eBooks and self-publishing.
