The New York Times, TechCrunch, BBC America – these are some of the most recognized names in digital publishing. And all of them are built on WordPress – a CMS platform that has a 43.1% market share.
WordPress dominates Google’s search engine results pages because it significantly simplifies the optimization process for its users. However, with competition for the audience’s attention and engagement at an all-point high, publishers have to go the extra mile and apply best practices in managing and optimizing the performance of their WordPress sites.
Join the 2nd Annual WP Publisher Success Week to learn exactly that – best practices from leading experts in the field of WordPress for publishers.

The Media Copilot examines how AI is changing media, journalism, and the news. While machine-generated content has been used by large newsrooms for the better part of a decade, generative AI effectively brought the technology to anyone and everyone. Newsrooms and media companies have been racing to understand and implement generative AI ever since.
That’s where The Media Copilot comes in. As journalists who have been studying, covering, and using AI for years, The Media Copilot’s team is equipped to navigate this new era that generative AI is enabling. The Media Copilot offers insights through its daily newsletter, conversations with thought leader via its podcast, and hands-on training with AI tools through courses and consulting.

She curates community voices around Gutenberg, the WordPress editor on Gutenberg Times and co-host the Gutenberg Changelog podcast. WTF is SEO? is a newsletter for news publishers. It helps you – whether your publication knows all the things about search or it’s just you doing it all – understand, prioritize and make actionable growth for your outlet.
You won’t have to worry about missing anything. Every new edition of the newsletter goes directly to your inbox on Monday.
Why was it created?
One day, Jessie asked Shelby an SEO question. She was frustrated by the fact there were very few – if any – resources around SEO for news. Shelby worked at The Globe and Mail for three years as a newsroom SEO specialist, and Jessie is an audience editor at The Globe now. So they decided to take their knowledge and make WTF is SEO.
